What should I do if Superfast Portable Breast Milk&Water Warmer has a burnt smell|MW05

We understand that noticing a burnt smell from your warmer can be concerning. Please be assured, this is typically a preventable issue.

Why does it smell burnt?

A burnt smell is usually caused by the natural sediments in breast milk or formula (like fats and proteins) settling and making direct contact with the high-temperature heating plate at the bottom. This is more likely to happen if the faster 'Warm Water' mode is used to heat milk.

How to Fix and Prevent It

For the best results and to prevent any odors, please follow these steps:

  1. Use the Correct Mode: When warming milk, always use the dedicated 'Warm Breast Milk' mode, not the 'Warm Water' mode. The milk mode uses a gentler heating curve.

  2. Swirl During Warming: Gently swirl the warmer before and during the heating cycle. This keeps the milk mixed and prevents sediments from sticking to the bottom.
  3. Clean Promptly: Clean the inner chamber immediately after each use to remove any milk residue.
