What do I need to know about using a MicroSD Card with the Baby Monitor BM03/BM04?

A micro SD card is required to enable the photo and video recording features on your BM03 and BM04 monitors. Here is a guide to its usage.

1. What type of Micro SD Card should I use?

For optimal performance, we recommend using a genuine micro SD card from a reputable brand with a Class 10 or higher speed rating and a capacity of up to 256 GB. This ensures smooth video recording and playback.

2. Do the BM03/BM04 come with a Micro SD Card?

This is a key difference between the two models:

  • Baby Monitor BM03: Yes, a 32 GB micro SD card is included in the box for your convenience.
  • Baby Monitor BM04: No, a micro SD card must be purchased separately. And currently micro SD card is not support to purchase on Momcozy website, please buy it by yourself.

3. How do I check the Micro SD Card's storage status?

You can easily check the card's remaining and used space directly on the monitor.

Press Menu > Camera Settings > SD card settings > SD card storage.

A window will appear showing the card's total and used capacity.

4. How do I format the Micro SD Card?

It is recommended to format a new micro SD card in the monitor before its first use or when you wish to clear all data.

Press Menu > Camera Settings > SD card settings > Format SD card.

  • Warning: Formatting will permanently erase all photos and videos from the card. Please ensure you have backed up any important files before proceeding.

5. What happens when the Micro SD Card is full?

The monitor will not stop recording. When the card's storage is full, the system automatically enables Loop Recording. This means the newest video files will begin to overwrite the oldest ones, ensuring the recording process is never interrupted.
