BM08's breathing and heart-rate trend detection is not completed by camera image recognition alone. It uses mmWave radar to sense very small movements from the baby's chest and abdomen. Therefore, the area shown in the camera image and the effective mmWave sensing area may not be exactly the same.
If the baby is not clearly shown in the camera view but is still within the effective mmWave sensing area, the device may still detect breathing and heart-rate trends. For more stable and accurate detection.
We recommend placing the device so that it faces the baby's chest and abdomen area, while avoiding thick obstructions, metal objects, or other moving objects that may interfere with detection.
