Breast Pump:Strange/loud noise-M5/M5 Smart/M6/M9/Wellness 1/S9 Pro/S12 Pro/S12 Pro Quick/V1 Pro/V2 Pro/Air 1

Solution

  1. Turn off the breast pump, remove the pump motor completely from the milk collector, and run the pump motor separately to check whether the abnormal noise comes directly from it.
  2. If the pump motor sounds normal, disassemble and wash all washable parts. Air-dry them until they are completely dry, as moisture or milk residue may cause squeaking or clicking sounds.
  3. Reinstall all washable parts correctly, making sure they sit flat with no gaps. Reassemble the breast pump firmly.
  4. During pumping, gently press the breast pump against your breast to ensure a tight seal. Check whether any whistling or air-leaking sound disappears.
  5. If you have two pump motors, run both separately at the same mode and suction level to compare their sounds.

Note

If the issue persists, especially in any of the following situations:

  • The pump motor makes an unusually loud, grinding, rattling, or irregular clicking sound when running separately.
  • The whistling or air-leaking sound continues after all parts are completely dry and the breast pump is pressed firmly against your breast.
  • One pump motor is noticeably louder than the other at the same mode and suction level.
