Unable to detect baby's sound and send alarms/ VOX failed in Baby Monitor(BM01, BM03, BM04)

If the monitor unable to send you alarms when baby screams and cries with a loud voice or the monitor alarms you without any indicator. We guess something wrong happens with the VOX function.  Don't worry, let's walk through a few steps to find the solutions :)

1. Possible Reasons:

1.1 Camera microphone is blocked or facing the wrong direction:

Camera angle is too steep (downward-facing), or base/stand/frame is blocking the mic.

Camera placement too close to walls, soft furnishings, or crib edges — causing sound absorption or reflection.

1.2 Improper distance or positioning between monitor and camera:

Too far apart, separated by walls or doors, or interference in the environment causing VOX trigger instability.

2. Solution:

2.1 Confirm VOX is Enabled

Enter the device menu and ensure the VOX/Sound Activation function is turned ON. Detailed can be checked: BM01, BM03, BM04

2.2 Adjust Camera Angle to Avoid Blocking the Microphone

Adjust the camera angle to a more horizontal position to ensure the microphone is not blocked by the base or stand.

Note:

Avoid placing the camera too close to walls or decorations.

Leave enough space around the camera to prevent obstruction.

2.3 Check Monitor and Camera Distance

Bring the monitor closer to the camera (same room, short distance) and test:

Make a sound near the camera (clap hands, speak, simulate baby crying). Observe whether the screen wakes up. (If VOX triggers correctly at close range but fails at long range: It’s likely due to distance or environmental interference, suggest optimizing placement and reducing obstructions.)
